Nineteen Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar recipients were at the Kartavya Path on the Republic Day.

The award is given in six categories in the fields of bravery, art & culture, innovation, science and technology, social service and sports.

Delhi Police all-women band participates in the Republic Day parade for the first time and is being led by Band Master Sub Inspector Ruyangunuo Kense. Also participating in the parade is the 15 times winner of the best marching contingent – the Delhi Police marching contingent.

Indian Air Force tableau took part in Republic Day parade. The tableau displays the theme ‘Bharatiya Vayu Sena: Saksham, Sashakt, Atmanirbhar’. The tableau commanders are Flt Lt Ananya Sharma and Flying Officer Asma Shaikh.

Mechanised Columns of the Army took part in Republic Day 2024 parade at the Kartavya Path. The detachment of Tank T-90 Bhishma, led by Lt Fayaz Singh Dhillon of 42 Armoured Regiment, was displayed in the parade.

All terrain vehicles used by the security forces were also displayed at the Kartavya Path.

The French Foreign Legion music band consisting of 30 musicians and the French marched contingent from the 2nd Infantry Regiment of the French Foreign Legion at the Kartavya Path on 75th Republic Day.

At the forefront of Kartavya Path, heralding the Parade Commander for the first time is a band comprising of women artists playing different types of folk and tribal percussion instruments.

This is the first time ever that the parade is being heralded by over 100 women artists playing Indian musical instruments. The parade commenced with the music of Sankh, Naadswaram, Nagada, etc. being played by these artists.

President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the National Flag at Kartavya Path.

This was followed by the national anthem and 21 gun salute.
